Bad Blogger

Really I haven't blogged since May?!!--that seems hard to believe..but I guess it must be true! Summer has flown by and we've been busy, busy...and had lots of fun. Between T-ball, swim lessons, vacations w/ GREAT friends, going to the farm, oh-more swimming, gardening, riding bikes...time has flown by. I'll try to do a short update w/ pics and then get better about staying on top of things!

May = Busy!

Girls Scouts- receiving her badges

Cheese~

All done w/ recital- did a great job~

Ready to dance- make up and all!

For some reason May is such a busy month...school activities winding down, work, family things.... We've been super busy just this month. Peyton has T-ball starting, the end of Girls Scouts, Dance recital (involving extra practices of course), declam, Track and Field. Its been fun watching her be in all these different activities, and see her strengths start to come out in different areas. Of course Jackson is just along for the ride and loves to go anywhere! Now only 3 1/2 days of school to go --hello summer! (if I can figure out how to get the pics off my phone track and field ones to come :-)

Easter time

A family affair--even my 80 some year old grandparents had to find eggs

Love this guy!

Love this girl!

Grandpa Mike and kids

Easter 2011

They had fun finding eggs

Yes all good things must come to an end

We had a wonderful Easter and it turned out to be a beautiful day. The kids had fun finding Easter eggs, Jack was more excited about the candy of course and eating- what a boy! We celebrated at my parents house and had a egg hunt for all-- as usual. The kids liked dyeing eggs and did a neat job of it!

Childrens Museum

These two are so cute!

Cute! The huge dinosaur

Peyton's light creation

We went on another visit to the museum w/ our good friends Robin, Emily, Madison, Sydney and Grandma....once again fun was had be all for several hours. We even got to walk by the huge dinosaur which is motion activated and moves and roars as you walk up to it...Jack loved watching it through the window but wouldn't go near it once outside...it scared Madison and Pey as well who were braver to go up to it. The museum is so neat and has tons of things for the kids to do!

Around the house

Going up anyone?

We love tents around here!

Whats been happening around the house lately...not much but a few pics to post lately. My recent project has been painting the entryway/hallway/stairway a nice gray (pics to come)--I've finally found a brown-gray I love! It was quite a task which included standing on some TALL, straight up ladders---quite scary for me. The kids have just enjoyed playing around the house as the weather is yet to be consistently warm out...hopefully summer is around the corner!

Just a few things going on....

Jackson got moved into a big boy bed ....a month or two ago! He loves it and shockingly stays in it pretty well.

Yes...I am finally done w/ our bedrooms wallpaper scraping....now to decide on a color! Have I mentioned I HATE wallpaper...

Tired out from going somewhere? Sleeping away!!

Yes...it is important to still look cool if you are sleeping away!

In case you missed it the Packers went to the Superbowl...my parents favorite team--I made them a cake for their party!!

Wow!! Mom is finally letting me paint!

Peyton working on a G for grandpa Mike's birthday wrapping

Just a few things that have been going on around here lately...I haven't been very good at taking pictures lately I guess. We've just been busy w/ life lately...nothing exciting...just busy life. I start a new job next week so will be quitting the bank, which I will miss, but am excited to get fully back into dietetics. I will keep my other part time job as a consultant RD visiting assisted livings and will be working part time at a surgical center as the dietitian there. I will still be able to stay home w/ the kids on my days off which is great!

Before and After- Peyton's room

Before: (really the only room that was a "blank slate")...

Well I finally have a few rooms "complete" or almost complete. Maybe I should say Peyton's is the most complete of the whole house. Thanks to my sister in law Becky who helped me trace the dots and gave me some ideas! We still have a bubble chandelier to hang, curtains to find, and the "P" wall will probably continue to grow as I find more cute P's. Otherwise I love how it turned out and Pey seems to really like it too..but would like a horse picture in it so we're looking for one that is hot pink/black ! It is a room full of life...which describes Pey perfectly!
