We had Peyton's Princess party yesterday. Since we "live in the sticks now" as my friend Katie says I decided it was time to make Peyton's cake this year and upgrade my cake baking skills. It turned out really cute and Peyton loved it so it was worth the time and effort! It will be a new fun tradition I think to be able to let the kids pick out a cake and I'll attempt to make it :-) The girls had a fun time playing games, making bracelets, presents and just playing! Peyton had a great birthday. This year was her first b-day in South Dakota so she didn't have her best friends she'd grown up with but it has been great watching her make new friends, of course she'll never forget her friends in WA and Texas though! We have one more party left now- Peyton and Jackson's family party ...stay tuned to see my next cake attempt!

Swimming with Friends
I'm 5!
We'll my little girl is five now...which makes me sad as I still remember her as a little baby so well! She was such a good little baby...which of course must be where Jackson gets his good nature. But I know kids have to grow up, she
s still a good kid! She had a low key birthday on the actual day, but of course she still had fun and got to spend most the day at the farm--who knew doing chores w/ grandpa could be so fun! And she still has her friend party and joint b-day party w/ Jackson coming up. She's still a fun loving, energetic girl who loves doing most anything! She enjoys preschool, riding her bike, her brother (hope that lasts), the farm, playing w/ her cousins, playing board/card games...the list could go on and on. We love our little Peyton and hope she has/had a wonderful birthday!
11 months
Jackson turned 11 months last week, its hard to believe that he'll be a year old next month. He's growing so fast it seems..he can take 2-3 steps but then stops the walking and gets down or likes to fall so we'll catch him! He still only has 2 teeth, but seems like he's getting some- they just never come! He waves bye, can point to his head, says no-no (shakes his head), says mama, baba....I don't know if there is much more he has learned this month, seems like he learns new things every day! He loves to eat and will eat anything I put on his table. He's not a baby anymore!
