Quilt and Peyton the babysitter

Peyton does a lot of reading to Jackson, he sits better for her than me when reading!

Jackson loves playing w/ Pey's piano

The other side of the quilt!

Just a few random pics...Wanted to show off Jackson's new quilt that grandma Lorna made- its pretty cute! Peyton lately has declared her self the babysitter and does a pretty good job of entertaining Jackson- of course she thinks she needs to carry him then too! I don't think she'll be out for hire yet :-) Pey has been busy, busy...especially lately as summer winds down we're trying to do everything we've been meaning to do..last week we went to a water park and a minor league baseball game. Pey will start school the 31st- 3 afternoons a week , we went school shopping today and she's excited to start school!

9 months

Being silly!
Mmm..blueberry pancakes

It makes me sad that Jackson , my little baby, is already 9 months old! Where has the time gone?? He is so much fun and still such a smiley, social baby. He now weighs in at 18lbs, 2oz--which surprisingly puts him at 25% on the growth charts; he is 28in. long (50%) He's constantly on the go and crawls around fast...he likes to walk holding onto things, he can climb up stairs, he can wave bye-bye and say hi! He's pretty distractible at this age and doesn't seem to miss much! He loves Peyton and gets so excited playing with her! He also loves the water whether its in the pool or the bathtub. He likes to eat and will eat most anything..no- still not sleeping through the night--maybe by the time he's one! And still no teeth :-) He's a busy, busy boy and will be walking before you know it!

Pedal Pull

Go Peyton Go!
Proud of her trophy

Brady's look of determination!

Blake using his muscles!

1st, 2nd, and 3rd-- Way to go cousins!

Peyton participated in our county fair's pedal pull contest (yes I guess this is small town living for you!) ..it was our first time doing it and was fun to watch Peyton. She received 3rd place in it and got a trophy which was exciting for her! Grandpa Mike had her out pulling around a tire attached to a tractor the day before but we decided she needed to train more beforehand! Veteran winners Brady and Blake also received 2nd and 1st! All three of the cousins will be going to the state pedal pull contest (yes there is a state level--even a national level :-) so we'll go to the corn palace to watch over labor day.

New home!!

We found a nice house to rent so we moved about 3 weeks ago.. We are able to live in it for approx. 9 months so we'll cross our fingers something comes up to buy we like in the near future! This is a spacious house which has been really nice while we've been getting settled. We are getting used to being "townies" but of course still make lots of visits to the farm which is only 4 miles away.
