Camping with Friends

Peyton--no training wheels!

We took Pey's training wheels off her bike and look at her go! We took them off at the beginning of summer and quickly she could ride pretty short distances, but she refused to get on her bike for about 2 months until last week and mastered riding it in about a day....right in time for us to go camping where she rode her bike ALL day. Now she spends her days riding her bike almost the entire day--its fun to watch her!!

4th of July?

Caught in the smoke bombs smoke!

I guess I'm a bit behind on posting...here are a few pics from 4th of July--we had a pretty low key 4th and ended up going to watch fireworks w/ my brother and friends...
Jason of course was working.

8 months

1st time tent camping!

Jackson turned 8 months old on the 15th...its hard to believe he's already 8 months old! Seems like in the past month he's really been on the go- and now loves to get into Peyton's toys! He started scoot-crawling almost a month ago and now crawls most of the time...but still likes to army crawl a lot too! He can pull himself up pretty well as well. He's gets more and more of a personality every day it seems! He gets excited to see anyone who's around as well as animals. He now likes oatmeal :-) and most any other food we'll feed him! He likes to drink water from his sippy. He still has no teeth--which seems crazy to me, and not much hair has grown either. He still wakes up to eat at night and takes two good naps/day. It is so much fun to watch him learn new things every day it seems! He loves Pey and gets so excited to see her...and seems to be a mommy's boy so far---but loves to be w/ daddy too.

Happy Birthday Jason!!

Surprised Jason! The old 30 yr old!

Some of the men

Some of the ladies ...why is it we're all so segregated?

Jason's cake that Lucy made---we love Lucy's cakes!!

We had a surprise 30th Birthday for Jason right before his birthday (which is actually July 3rd) We pulled off the surprise as he was good 1 hour late for his party-- he had no idea which was good! :-) It was fun to get everyone together and hang out!

Hair by Jason!

I'm not sure if Jason will appreciate me putting this on the blog or not --but I thought it was funny! This is what I walked into one day not know he was planning on shaving his head..it was quite a shock! Yes he did continue to shave it completely off (he decided it was too hot for hair) but I always liked his head shaved in the Army so it was a nice surprise!!

9 years already?!

Jason and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary on June 24th--we were lucky enough to have a date night the other night and went to dinner and a movie--I even tried some sushi and shashmi? (I don't know it was raw fish is all I know- Jason knew what he ordered us from his time in Japan). It was fun to spend some time alone without the kids which we don't seem to get around to doing much! I can't believe we've already been married 9 years...I wish we would have kept track of how much we've actually been together in the same state/home during our marriage--I know during at least the first 4-5 years we were apart more than together thanks to Jason being gone with the Army! I've possibly spent more anniversary dates with my friend Katie (right Katie?) due to Jas being deployed or at training. It has definitely been nice having him around more!! I think we partly have the Army to thank for making our marriage so strong as its not always easy being married in the Army but you learn to appreciate what you have and the time you have together! Thank you for the past nine years honey!!

Trip to the Zoo

Feeding the goats

Camel

My friend Emily and I brought the kids to the zoo the other day...despite the HOT weather (over 90 degrees and humid) ..we had a great time. It was fun to spend time w/ Emily and Madison as we don't get to see them as much as we'd like.
