Climbing, raccoons, and a new cat!
Yuck!!! Two of the babies in the barn--of course no one was around to "get rid of them" for me!
Peyton is and always has been since she was little my climbing girl--even at 1 yr old she was climbing my ladder when I would be painting--now she loves to climb trees and often falls out of them as well--could be her choice of climbing shoes- which are often flip flops! She acquired a new baby kitten yesterday from someone in town who found it. Peyton is excited about HER kitten and loves to carry it around in an ice cream pail--which surprisingly the kitten seems to enjoy as well. Her name is Fancy- she has had about 10 names in the day we've had her and we've lost her once already--after searching for about 1 hr I thought I'd check if she climbed up in my car--opened the hood and she was sitting on the engine!! Hopefully she adapts to being a farm cat and has a long life! I also discovered a family of raccoons in our barn-- a mom and 5 babies- if anyone from WA remembers our time with raccoons-- I hate raccoons :-)
7 months
I can't believe Jackson is 7 months old already---time flies by so fast!! It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that I was in the hospital ready to have him! So whats new with him? He's becoming a busy boy- he loves to be in the water--whether it is in the pool or bath. He's scooting around- and will get on his hands and knees but doesn't know where to go from there! His preferred mode of transportation is to roll everywhere..and does a great job of getting into everything- look out Peyton's toys! He's still a happy baby- but is becoming more aware of "strangers". No teeth yet--I keep thinking some day soon. He likes to eat and pretty much likes everything we've tried but oatmeal--but I'm working on that!! He likes to drink cold water from his sippy and does a pretty good job of it. He also likes to play catch with his ball! He gets excited whenever someone walks in the room or if he's sees the cats outside. He still takes two naps per day---and STILL doesn't sleep through the night and is up about 2 times/night--which is more likely b/c I'm not very good at making him cry it out!! We sure have a lot of fun with him- watching him grow and learn new things.
