Hard to believe my little girl is already in 1st grade! We started school last week and of course Pey loves it, being the social girl she is, she loves being back with her friends and actually really loves to learn. She was complaining about NOT getting homework the first few days and would assign herself her own homework--she's a funny girl. Jack is left alone for another year but I think he likes the one on one attention he gets now when I'm at home. He also started daycare this past week as our Nola started a job at the school, thankfully his transition went smoothly and he loves getting to play with all the kids! Although we miss summer and the fun it brings its nice to get into the routine of a new school year and all the fun that comes with it!

Peyton claims she is a cowgirl....and somedays I truly think she is so we knew on this vacation we needed to try our best to go horseback riding...so we did in the Black Hills and she LOVED it. It was one of the highlights of our trip and now of course she continues to plan her horse ranch!! :-)

This year we decided to take a trip to Yellowstone and met up w/ some friends of ours from Washington- the Martindales. We soon realized this was our first family vacation since Pey was born (how sad is that!) We had such an awesome time, saw so many amazing things, and loved being w/ our friends we've decided to make it a Meyer-Martindale tradition!

Bad Blogger

Really I haven't blogged since May?!!--that seems hard to believe..but I guess it must be true! Summer has flown by and we've been busy, busy...and had lots of fun. Between T-ball, swim lessons, vacations w/ GREAT friends, going to the farm, oh-more swimming, gardening, riding bikes...time has flown by. I'll try to do a short update w/ pics and then get better about staying on top of things!
