Christmas Craziness!

We had a busy Christmas as usual! A few weeks ago we went to the Meyer Christmas with Jason's dad and step mom. Christmas Eve afternoon we went to Jason's mom and step dad's house to spend Christmas with them and Jason's brothers. Christmas Eve night we went to my Grandma Dee's house. Christmas morning was at my parents and then off to my Grandma Fern's that night. We are very blessed to have 5 places to go for Christmas and so much family, even if we are exhausted by the end of it :-)

Snowmen

It was pretty nice out the other day so Pey and I made a couple of snowmen and went sledding--I can't remember the last time I made a big snowman! We had a lot of fun!

Happy Birthday Brandon and Grandpa Art!

Yes Peyton and I made that cake--I know you're probably amazed by our talent! :-)
Blow out the candles!

Jackson and Great-Grandpa Art

We celebrated my Grandpa Art and my brother Brandon's birthdays the other night!

Snowed in!

Sleepy boys

We tried to get creative since we'd been in the house for 3 days--here's our fort we made for Peyton which kept her entertained for awhile!

Its cold outside!

Grandma and Peyton "braving the elements" for a little fresh air!

All bundled up!

We put Peyton to work shoveling!

Its been cold and snowy--I think this morning it was -19 with the windchill...We were snowed in for 3 days and have finally been plowed out this morning. I am yet to go outside in the cold, but Peyton and my mom were brave and we let Pey go out for about 10 minutes yesterday as she needed some fresh air! I definitely haven't missed the freezing cold!

Christmas cookies

Starting last year (or the year before) Peyton and I started making Christmas cookies together...it always sounds so fun before we start, but 6 hours later and 6 different kinds of cookies later we're both pretty tired!! Of course today Peyton wanted to make more cookies as we didn't get our gingerbread men done--I told her we needed to take a little break though!

I'm 1 month old!

He's still pretty good at sleeping during the day, most days!

He has big, bright eyes and loves to watch everything.

Its hard to believe Jackson is already 1 month old!!! He seems to be growing like a weed and finally fills out his 0-3 month clothes. He started smiling around 3 weeks, you still have to work pretty hard to get him smiling. He's a strong little man and can stand sometimes when we hold him, loves to grab things, and is really squirmy, especially in bed...one night he even got himself undressed from his head to his waist! He's also pretty noisy when he sleeps and definitely lets us know he's still next to us :-)

Shucking Corn

Grandma Lorna and Jackson

Who would have thought shucking corn was so fun?? After the combining was done this year Jason would take the kids out to the cornfield and they thought is was so much fun to pick up the ears of corn they missed and would come home and take the corn off the cob! Seems funny to me that such a simple thing can be so exciting!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The boys

Jackson's 1st Thanksgiving

Peyton's contribution to Thanksgiving-her "pie"

Grandma Lorna and Pey making a cherry pie

A few pics from preparation for Thanksgiving and after eating

Jason's excitement

Jason was excited as he shot this 17lb racoon! He's enjoying working on the farm and everything that comes with it:-)

Bath Time!

Jackson "enjoying" his bath as usual :-)
We got this cute towel from our friends Paula and Katrina

Jackson pretty much screams during his entire bath--its one of the times he really likes to let us know he's here. Hopefully he'll start liking his bath more soon :-)

Cousins

Peyton, Blake, Brady, Jackson

Peyton and her cousins....every year we take a picture of them with their heads together..its been fun to see them grow--Jackson looks so tiny compared to everyone! Peyton has had lots of fun playing with Brady and Blake again!
