Easter

Jackson loved his bathtub hoop the Easter bunny brought him!

Who gave him that chocolate--Grandma looks pretty guilty!

Resting after a hard Easter egg hunt

All ages join in this hunt!

Oooh- found one

Pey searching for eggs

Yes even at the young age of 30 you still get to find a few eggs

Serious about finding eggs

Pey's "fancy" Easter dress from G. Meyer and Jackson in his attire

What did you find?

Easter was a fun time and Jackson had a lot of fun this year looking for eggs. Of course Pey still surprisingly believes in the Easter bunny so that's always fun as well. We looked for eggs around our house and then went to the farm for an Easter egg hunt on Easter...it was a beautiful day- perfect to be outdoors so it was lots of fun!

Eggs, Eggs, Eggs!

My little bunny!

Showing off her painting skills

The finished product!

Oooh...beautiful!

We painted eggs this year which was fun...I thought I was buying a dye kit but all I focused on was that it had glitter in it and knew Pey would love it then. The kids had a lot of fun, even Jackson painted the eggs for awhile--until they became balls and were thrown...then he had to just watch!!

Cake!

Haven't made a cake in awhile ...but it was my friend and awesome babysitter Nola's 31st b-day so we thought she needed a guitar b-day cake. Turned out pretty good, even though I was out of practice!

Jackson's 1st haircut

Would you let him cut your hair??? :-)

The briefing: OK Jack here's how its going to work...now sit nice and still...

A sneak move to try to escape
He's really pretty limber!

Not having fun!

Hmmm...good enough!

It was time for a haircut...hair was going over the collar and getting pretty fuzzy. So we decided to cut it ourselves--who would pay for someone to take a few snips and be done right? He's a boy how hard can it be to cut his hair right? It was quite the traumatizing and interesting time...Jack didn't cry too much but tried to escape the whole time. It was definitely amusing for us anyways! We're hoping to have better technique next time...but it turned out fine- you can't really screw up w/ a clippers (thankfully)! Yes for those of you looking at his hair we chose to leave the spiky colicky part on top--we just think its so cute :-) No we didn't get an after picture due to being too traumatized! :-) (no babies were hurt during this filming or haircut)!

Farm Life

My kids love going to the farm...of course what kid doesn't. They get to see grandma and grandpa, Pey sings and dances for the cows, explores all around the farm, runs on the hay bails, and of course there are tractor rides. Here is Jackson on one of his first tractor rides....he enjoyed riding on the tractor as tractors are one of his FAVORITE things. Pey always loves to do chores w/ grandpa! As the weather continues to get nice we'll probably be spending more and more time there--and soon will be planting our garden!
